One of the main concerns during the days of strong easterly winds (levante) and heat is going to the beach and not being able to enjoy the tranquility of the sea due to rough waves or sunbathing because of the constant blowing of sand with the wind. On the other hand, there are also athletes seeking areas for windsurfing, surfing, kiteboarding, and other sports, so they need to know if the sea will be calm or not. For all these reasons, some beaches have implemented a webcam system that broadcasts a live feed of the current situation, and one of these webcams is located in Tarifa, specifically at Valdevaqueros beach.
